Little Ghost V3.0 ~ Redesigned Float Power & Cinematics drastically improve gameplay/playfeel
We had the pleasure of seeing a bunch of streamers play our Halloween update, and in seeing them play, getting their feedback, we realized where there were opportunities to improve the game and one thing led to another. Like dominoes or a puzzle box, things started to fall into place. And the result is a really refined version of the game. If you've played before, please consider playing again.
Patch Notes:
We've been knee-deep in work on this. In it, 100% in it. The amount of stuff we've added in the few weeks since Halloween is staggering. The first thing you'll notice in the update is the addition of a multi-faceted float "meter" based on @GeneralPedroArt who drew a glowing aura on Little Ghost. We loved it & just had to add it to the game! And it looks amazing! Particles & animation that convey UI info with style. If it were just a visual pop it would still be cool, but it really does help the platforming by conveying essential data in the moment.
Speaking of particles, we also added particles on everyone's favorite unicorn heads as well as Checkpoints, Steam coming out of the steam pipes, and Confetti when you grab items.
The next big change you'll notice is the addition of cinematic camera movements that not only help define the scope of each "room" or challenge but also help you understand the lay of the land, which directions you can move in, what you need to pay attention to.
Up next we have the new loop-a-song feature and full system volume controls - both suggested/requested by @itsApollyon. Also updated mp3 player UI art (scroll arrows and BGs) and new/found mp3s now display in pink text color to highlight which ones you've found, which are the newest etc.
The home menu music loop has been expanded from 50 secs to a 5 full minutes of evolving music for all streamers sitting on that screen :) Also added 6 new SFX & swapped the two Christopher North songs (since my fav song of his was too well hidden)
We added a whopping 11 checkpoints, also a million platforming tweaks including custom HP damage values for each object/enemy and 3 new secret passageways!
Rearranged the space just outside the village (with the sweeping hamster npc) yet again & completely redesigned the section between the first boss & the ufo - it's really cool now.
There are 4 NPCs who either got added or expanded: We added animation & SFX to that little bird in the tutorial, we added a gryphon to one of the houses in the village, and now you can speak to that cute cloud you can ride, as well as the giant ant queen!
Remade a ton of the UI (probably silly to list it all out) but it really does make a difference, both in the visual impact and the "readability" of how you're progressing and how the map is getting upgraded.
Last two things worth mentioning, we added alternates for float button; in addition to the E key, you can also use F or X.
And, I wont spoil it here, but we added some animation when you pick up the 4th tarot card and get the upgrade/power-up. Has a great SFX too!
Please go try these updates out, it really feels like this is the definitive version of the Little Ghost demo.

Looks amazing. I have mac version of demo 2.0, played for half an hour and I am loving it, will 3.1 come to mac?
Hi, thanks for playing, so glad you're enjoying it!
When I was putting the 3.1 out, I had some Mac compiler issues and at that point my Mac download count was so low that I decided not to prioritize it. But now that we've got some traction here and a decent amount of Mac downloads, I'll be sure to put some work into that over the next few weeks.
Thanks again!!
Thank you, it is so good to get answers directly from developers. I am starting to love this site
I am sometimes having trouble to find where should I go in game, other than that it is a really nice game, especially graphics. I will still play 2.0 version so I can see the differences when 3.1 come out.
Keep up the good work :)
Thank you, I really appreciate you going for it, even on the older version! Have a great day :)
I just saw you updated the mac version on 3.2, I have exams soon but I will play it as soon as possible. Thanks a lot
Ah that's so cool, I'm glad you saw it! I would absolutely love to hear your thought on the updates whenever you get the chance to play.
You're so very welcome. Have a great day
